How It Works

What working with me actually looks like.

From the first visit through ongoing care. Perimenopause and menopause symptoms, hormones, metabolism, sleep, energy, and long term health. Here is exactly how it goes.

Most midlife care was not built for this.

Most hormone platforms are built to move as many people through as quickly as possible. Short visits, one standard plan, minimal testing, and often a different clinician every time. For a simple case that can work fine.

Axis is built the other way. A small panel of patients, enough time to think, and enough data to think with.

You are not being routed through someone else's plan. We are building yours.

What We Work On

Four areas, treated as one system.

  • Menopause & Perimenopause

Hormone therapy, hot flashes and night sweats, sleep, mood, cognition, bone health, and sexual health.

  • Metabolic Health

Insulin resistance, weight that stopped responding, lipids, and cardiometabolic risk. GLP-1 medications when appropriate.

  • Longevity & Prevention

Cardiovascular risk markers, inflammation, and the early physiologic changes that show up years before a diagnosis does.

  • Lifestyle & Performance

Nutrition, sleep, training, stress, recovery, and targeted supplementation, without the noise.

The Path

Four steps, then the part that lasts.

  1. 01
We talk, and we do not rush it.

Your first visit is a full hour with me. We go through your history, your symptoms, what you have already tried, what changed and when, and what you actually want your life to feel like again. I ask a lot of questions. For most women this is the first time anyone has asked them.

  2. 02
    We decide what to test.

We look at what your history points to and choose testing that will actually answer it. Most patients start with the Axis Core Panel. If your picture calls for more, we add it on purpose rather than by default.

  3. 03
I go through every result myself.

Not a summary and not a red flag filter. I read the whole picture, including how your numbers relate to each other and to everything you told me, before we meet again.

  4. 04
    We build the plan together.

We meet again and I walk you through what I found and what I think it means. Then we decide where to start. You leave understanding your own results, which matters more than most people expect.

The Testing

The Axis Core Panel.

Where most patients start, ordered when clinically appropriate. Labs can be billed to your insurance or run at a pre-negotiated cash rate, so there are no surprises.

Hormonal & Thyroid
  • Estradiol (E2)
  • Progesterone
  • Total Testosterone
  • SHBG
  • TSH
Metabolic & Cardiovascular
  • Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
  • Hemoglobin A1C
  • Fasting Insulin
  • Full Lipid Panel
General Health & Nutrients
  • CBC with Differential
  • Iron, TIBC & Ferritin
  • Vitamin D (25-OH)

Some pictures need a deeper look. Depending on your history and what the core panel shows, we may add advanced cardiovascular markers, a full thyroid evaluation, adrenal and stress testing, nutrient status, expanded hormone testing, or gut and inflammation markers. These are added only when the result will change what we do, and they are billed separately.

Then: Membership

This is where it actually happens.

The first plan is a starting point, not a finish line. Getting you back to feeling like yourself usually takes layering. We add one thing, give it time, see how you respond, then adjust.

Hormones and midlife physiology keep moving. What is right at 47 is not always right at 51, and what works in month one often needs tuning by month four. Membership is the container for that ongoing work, so we can keep refining instead of starting over.

That means quarterly visits, prescriptions and monitoring, and check-ins in between as clinically appropriate. It is the part patients tell me they were missing.

Get Started

Ready to begin?

Start with a complimentary discovery call. It is a conversation about whether this is the right fit.

Axis Precision Health does not replace a patient's primary care physician. The practice focuses specifically on midlife hormone health, metabolic optimization, and longevity and preventive health strategy. Axis Precision Health does not provide primary care services, urgent care, or management of unrelated chronic medical conditions. Patients should maintain an ongoing relationship with their primary care physician for routine medical care, acute medical needs, and long-term disease management.
